ROLLING STONE
"The response to B*tches in Stitches has been overwhelmingly positive, especially among comedians who felt they were ostracized from the scene."
JOYZINE.ORG
"The venue was buzzing even before the first act took the stage — a cosy, packed room full of laughter, anticipation, and that slightly electric sense that something special was about to happen... By the end of the night, my face ached from smiling. Bitches in Stitches is exactly what the UK comedy scene needs right now — inclusive, fearless, feminist fun that’s genuinely funny. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this global sisterhood of humour."
SPOT.PH
"B*tches in Stitches sees a good laugh as an entry point for social critique: the equivalent of wrapping a pill in bacon and feeding it to your dog. At the end of the day, the Bitches know that their ultimate ambition of changing the world through comedy is a bit lofty. But they won’t stop trying."
LIFESTYLE ASIA
"One of the things the evening showed me was comedy’s crucial, multi-faceted role in today’s world. In some way, it’s a salve to let your worries melt away, but it’s also a medium that broaches complex and relevant topics regular conversation can’t."

UK
Fran Ayala-Rock
Fran's been doing stand-up for eight years and has performed in Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, the Philippines, Portugal, and the UK. She's known for her raunchy and unhinged, in-your-face brand of comedy that smashes taboos, flips perspectives, and leaves you feeling like you could take up all the space in the room (and then some).
In 2021, Fran founded Bitches in Stitches in Hong Kong with five fellow femme comics. In its first two years, the group sold out 30 shows and doubled the number of paid female comedians in the city, earning her a nomination for Tatler Asia's 2022 Front & Female Awards.

PHILIPPINES & US
Alix Brown
Alix Brown is a comedian and author born in the Philippines and raised across Asia, Africa, the UK, and the US — an upbringing that gave her a sharp wit, mild identity confusion, and a permanent sense of being in transit. She performs internationally, blending cultural insight, dark humour, and chaotic intelligence. She is the author of two children’s books, an adult dirty talk guide, and a colouring book available on Amazon, where she strategically attempts to siphon money from Jeff Bezos in small increments.Alix is also the mother of four cats — Jasper, Juniper, Lucifer, and Bogart — making her emotionally outnumbered and legally responsible for a tiny furry cult.A proud Filipina bisexual, her pronouns are “Ma’am/Sir.”
UK
Arie David
Arie David is a London-based comedian, writer, and producer known for her sharp writing, deadpan delivery, and darkly playful perspective. Described by Byline Times as “clever and biting,” her comedy blends chaotic personal stories with sharp social observations, covering everything from modern relationships and career disasters to identity, ambition, and the absurdity of everyday life.
Arie has performed at clubs including Top Secret Comedy and Up The Creek — where she won the Beat the Blackout gong show. As a lead producer for Bitches in Stitches, she aims to create a platform for emerging female comedians from the UK comedy scene.
